Of all the strange and cool things I found hunting and spear fishing this one is up there in the op 10.
I found this string of what I think are Chinese coins underwater wedged in a reef break about 50m offshore whilst free diving in Sanur, Bali.
I think that they might have been coins used as part of a ceremony as part of an offering that got taken by the tide off the beach and washed out into the reef. very cool find!
Now I have to endure my two kids fighting over who gets to keep them… maybe I want to keep the pirate treasure!
