Video description:
Someone wise once told me to pay attention during a hunt. For the longest time I assumed he meant listening for sounds, being mindful about what the wind was doing and glassing every nook and cranny of the bush… but I was wrong.
Paying attention during a hunt also involves the process of thinking about your options as they present themselves, assessing the risks of those options and then reflecting later on the choices you made and how that effected the outcome of the hunt. Simply put, you need to pay attention to your choices and remember them in order to become more successful at hunting.
Its only after we start being mindful of and reflecting on our choices that we can then learn and grow. As Einstein said, the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result
Keen to here what people think, it could be a load of rubbish, or maybe you’ll find it useful like me 🙂
In this video I explore how you can get the most out of your hunts by managing what I call ‘micro decisions’. Any (ethical and fair) edge you can get in hunting is a good thing, and this might just be the ticket to getting game or bumping your next target.
It could all be a load of fluff, or it could be a really useful tool that helps you improve your chances of getting game when your out there hunting in the Australian bush.
If you’re like me and you love honing your skills, learning, growing and pushing yourself to become a better hunter then maybe you’ll find this hunting technique useful.
