In this episode of The Huntsman we push deeper into the Victorian High Country in search of better hunting grounds. The thick bush and hounds have kept the Sambar deer on edge, so the we decided to relocate and set up camp deeper into the Victorian High Country, continuing our public land hunting adventure.

After days of hunting through steep, tangled bush, we push deeper into the Victorian High Country and find a new camp — tucked beside a crystal-clear river that winds through the valley.

It’s here that KC joins the crew, driving across from Western Australia to be part of the hunt. With camp set, the team settles into the rhythm of High Country life — good company, running water, and the anticipation of what the next hunt might bring.

At first light, Luke Dobson heads out with his loyal hounds Remy and Ryder. The morning is thick with fog and tension as they pick up the sign of a Sambar. A shot rings out — but the story doesn’t end there. What follows is an intense blood-tracking mission through dense bushland as Luke and the dogs work to recover the animal.
