🌿 Ingredients:
Freshly harvested venison heart, salt, pepper & butter. That’s i.
👨🍳 Step-by-Step Guide:
1. 00:55 – Clean the heat with water.
2. 01:11 – Trim off the layer of fat at the top of the heart.
3. 01:50 – Cut off upper tubes and valves
4. 02:09 – Cut the heart into 4 filets.
5. 03:06 – Remove the heartstrings
6. 03:54 – Cut the heart into 1-2cm stripes.
7. 04:35 – Dip the stripes into an egg wash and then coat with breadcrumbs.
8. 05:20 – Melt some butter on a hot pan.
9. 05:29 – Add the meat stripes to the hot pan and cook between 1-3 minutes, turning each strip at the half way mark.
10. 05:37 – Cook until golden brown and finish with some salt and pepper.
🍽️ Tasting Notes:
The heart strips are best served hot, straight out of the pan. They will have a beautiful buttery outer crunch with a juicy meat middle. Like the best steak you’ve ever tasted.
